National Geographic Channel presents Top Gun, a brand new series

premiering on Monday, April 9 at 10 pm (Mon-Fri), all set to take its viewers on an unforgettable flight of fantasy - from the evolution of Jet planes to the age of stealth. Fast, furious and devastating!

Get prepared to take off with some of the most technologically advanced - ground-breaking planes in history; witness the evolution from the birth of fighter planes to the development of the high tech F-22 Raptor that can fly way beyond the speed of sound. Though classified information, test pilots estimate the maximum speed to be Mach 1.72 in super-cruise mode and without external weapons; with afterburners, it is estimated to be greater than Mach 2.0 (2,120 km / hour). The five part series includes episodes like Air Plane to Air Power, Bombs Away, Jet, Age of Stealth and Lost Fighter Planes.
