No
sooner summers set in, our psyche automatically
tunes into the vacation mode, where traveling
tops the agenda. Our TV celebs too get tempted
to take a break to jaunt with their family.
But as they are bounded by a tight schedule
and round-the-clock shoots, this desire
by and large remains 'a desire'.
Want to know which are the dream destinations
of our TV celebs, both in India as well
as abroad? Prashant Golecha finds out.
Interesting note is that when it comes
to our country, Goa was almost a unanimous
choice.
Barkha
Bisht
Desh: It's 'Go Goa' simply
for the exquisite beaches. It's a fun filled
place and people there just let you be.
Videsh: I'm a water-baby,
so it's Maldives. I've never been there
but I am keen to visit it for it's virgin
beaches. I have read a lot about this island
nation on the net, in books and on television.
Sai
Deodhar
Desh: TV actors hardly get
time to plan long holidays. Goa is very
accessible. You can spontaneously plan and
just simply land there even for two days.
It's a blend of everything, slow and relaxed.
It's one place where you don't have to give
a second thought before saying yes.
Videsh: The mysterious land
of Egypt. The pyramids are fascinating!
And yes for shopping its Bangkok!
Sanjit
Bedi
Desh: Goa is the ultimate
destination as I'm a beach person. Goa is
like next to home (Mumbai). I freak out
whenever I'm there.
Videsh: Kenya is very beautiful
as the best of the whole world's right there.
I love it's natural surroundings. The hotels
are luxurious with ultimate facilities.
But if I want to party Europe is my destination.
Nasir
Khan
Desh: My favourite holiday destination
here is Kashmir. I have been there seven-eight
times. It's splendid, serene and freezing
during winters.
Videsh: Australia, its very
peaceful, huge landscape, good for fishing.
It's a total family destination. For my
shopping desires, its Bangkok always.
Rushad
Rana
Desh: Nothing can beat Goa.
I love its beaches, it's tangy food and
culture.
Videsh: Overseas it's Mauritius
for its exotic beaches. In spite of language
barriers one can enjoy as people there are
very warm and friendly. I would also love
to visit Italy and Paris.
