Recent
tabloid headlines recorded statements of
singer Suchitra Krishnamurthy who alledged
actress Preity Zinta for breaking up her
marriage with director Shekhar Kapoor. It's
often noticed that when a relationship breaks
the other woman in question bears the brunt
of public humiliation.
We spoke to certain opinionated women in
the industry to voice their views on this
blame game at hand.
Narayani
Shastri: I would not want
to comment on their personal matter but
if it's a general situation then both are
to be blamed. The man and woman involved
in the affair are equally responsible for
it. One cant blame the second woman alone
as the man was cheating on his wife as well.
Nigaar Khan:
There are different perspectives
to it. However when a marriage has to go
wrong, it just goes wrong. Before blaming
the second woman completely it is a must
that we check within us what the problems
plaguing the marriage are. But it does not
shun the other woman completely as there
are people who can't see a happy marriage.
However it the marriage is rock solid, things
will be different.
Archana
Puran Singh: I will reserve
my comment on this as it will presume that
I consider Preity Zinta to be the second
woman in his life. It is definitely not
so, hence I will not go on record.
Nausheen
Ali Sardar: Well, fifty
percent of the fault goes to the second
woman. The rest fifty goes for the cracks
in the marriage. Often both these points
are responsible for an extra marital affair.
