Singer-actor and Antakshree host Karan Oberoi has added a new feather to his cap. Karan has now become a producer.

Speaking on this development, he says, “I’ve opened a production house and it’s called Artistic Unlimited. We have few projects on hand and I expect them to go on air by January. It’s too early too divulge any details.

All I can tell you right now is that we are working at two fiction shows and two non-fiction subjects. The non-fiction ones are related to music.”

Can we expect something different from this producer?

Karan replies, “We are looking at doing something different – as most producers would say. Honestly, the launch of so many new channels provides us with the flexibility to explore new avenues.”

How has been the transformation from a singer-actor to now a producer?

Karan answers, “It’s been very good. I’ve always carefully monitored all my work. I’ve handpicked a good creative team. It has taken me a good 8-9 months just to form my team. It will take a few months before we start functioning smoothly.”

So, will he quit acting?

The singer-actor quips, “Acting will not take a backseat. However, you will not see me as an actor on a regular basis.”
