Seventh Indian Telly Awards: Special moments

Zee and Balaji's Kasamh Se bagged the trophy for the best actor in both the lead categories- Prachi Desai and Ram Kapoor.

Prachi looked like an angel in white and was thrilled on hearing the announcement. Her on-screen beau Ram Kapoor was shocked when his name was announced for the best actor category. "I thank Ekta and both my wives- on and off the screen," said Ram.

Not without my wife

Anita and Siddharth Basu received the Hall Of Fame Award. It was a truly poignant moment when Siddharth gave a special thanks to Anita and said, "It wouldn't have been possible for me to reach this stage without my wife."

Blow hot blow cold

Smriti Irani received many accolades for Virrudh. In her acceptance speech she said Virrudh was possible only because Ekta had released her from KSBKBT and thanked Ekta for the same.

And catching Ekta's eye she continued, "I would have been crying until now had Ekta not set me free. I'm really thankful to her and my Virrudh team. It feels good to get this award."

And when it was Ekta's turn to accept the award for the best production house- Balaji she in turn congratulated Smriti for Virrudh.

Traffic jam

Despite staying stuck in a traffic jam for three hours, Ronnie Screwvala was determined to make it to the function. Though he was a bit weary with the time spent in the car he was elated on receiving the award for his contribution to the television industry.

The conjoined twins

They made their first live performance at the telly awards. AmberDhara really rocked the crowd as they danced to the peppy 'Hum to aise hai bhaiya... 'It seems Ekta too enjoys the show because when she came to receive the award with her pal Tanu on stage she said, "Tanu and me are like AmberDhara. We are each other's strength,"

My childhood friend

Ronit seemed to be so happy after receiving the award for The Best Actor in Negative role. that he called his best pal on stage and introduced him to the audience by calling him his chaddi-buddy. His pal in return smothered him with a kiss on his cheek.

Enjoyed every moment

J. D. Majethia whose Ba Bahu Aur Baby did well at the awards was a very happy man. He had came in early and stayed till the end.

Ruling TV since seven years

Kyunki… Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi got the award for the Best Continuing Show. The Virani family took centre stage with the golden statuette in hand. Their happy faces seem to tell us to continue watching for yet another seven years.

Happy Threesome

Smriti, Peter Mukherjee and wife Indrani look pleased as punch. What with Smriti's show on their new channel it is a win-win situation for all.
