Rupali is back on television after a year with great expectations. She’ll be seen in a Hats Off Production once again with its new show Ek Packet Umeed on NDTV Imagine. Her last venture before going on a break was Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai on Star One (a Hats Off Production).

“It feels great to be back with the Hats Off team and the sets. I can’t reveal much about the show but the theme of the story revolves around relationships,” says Rupali.

On a little prodding she elaborates, “It’s the story of these women who are not related but who live under the same roof. Each of them has a story to tell.”

Rupali will essay the role of Sujata in Ek Packet… Talking about her character she says, “She is a very bubbly character who just does not know how to walk. She keeps running all the time. To define Sujata in one word it would be Toofan mail.”

Is there any similarity between Rupali and Sujata?

“One thing that I found very similar is that we are both anxious, just can’t wait for things to happen. Another similarity is that both of us don’t walk but run. Besides that I think I’m yet to discover Sujata as it’s just a beginning but I can tell you that I’m more like Monisha Sarabhai.”

The serial is slated for a January launch. We hope it lives up to both Rupali’s and our umeed.
