Amit Dolawat who rose to fame as Kay Kay in Kesar is grinning from ear to ear. After the success of his last show Saat Phere as Sridhar, he’s entered as Dev in Zee’s Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan. And he is a happy man.

“It’s a very different role. With my entry in the show there are many twists and turns lined up and I’m looking forward to the serial,” says Amit

Elaborating on his character, he says, “Dev Singhania is a struggling actor who is hired by the four daughters in the house to con Pavitra (Jasvir Kaur). He is a tapori who keeps trying his luck in Bollywod. As I have just entered the show my character is still in the developing stages. Currently I’m playing the role of Prince who’ll trap Pavitra and stop her from grabbing the property of the Garodia family.”

What happened to your role in Main Aisi Kyun Hoon? “I was there for seven episodes but my look did not fit in with the character of Vickey. I was too young for it and thus opted out of the show,” he quips.

Amit is content with the roles he has played until now. He’s patient and willing to wait for a meaty role to come his way.
