Krushna Abhishek who is a household name with Nach Baliye is also known as actor Govinda’s nephew. And now the actor’s niece Ragini is all set to try her luck with the small screen. Though a relatively new entrant Ragini Khanna seems to have her hands full. The pretty actress will soon be seen in NDTV Imagine’s Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi. The show is slated to go on air in January.

She is also pursued by film makers and is contemplating on a film. Sharing her Bollywood plans with telly chakkar she says, “I’ve been offered a movie but nothing is on paper as yet. I’m still new to this industry and have lots of things to do. I’m presently looking forward to my new show on NDTV Imagine.”

Elaborating on her small screen role she says, “I can’t reveal anything as it’ll be too early. Radha ki Betiyaan…. is the story about a mother and her three daughters who are optimistic about life and want to fulfill their dreams. There is no melodrama. It’s a fresh concept.”

Ragini hails from a family whose roots are steeped in Bollywood. Her dad is a producer, her mom is a novelist and brother Amit Khanna is an actor.

So do we soon see her working with Govinda? And a nervous Ragini says, “I’d love to work with mama but I get cold feet when I think of it. He is a brilliant actor and that makes me nervous.”

Ragini opted for television first. “This is the best medium to brush your acting skills. There is a lot of creativity and hence you get to learn a lot. In films you don’t have that much time. I have done 25 ads and this makes me feel confident. I started with print and television ads. Now I want to concentrate on TV for sometime. But I’m also open to films,” she quips.

Ragini was seen in the Amul Cool Café, Godrej campaigns.

Coming from a Bollywood family it will not be long before Ragini makes her way to the big screen.
