Just when the speculations were rife as to who would replace Shaan in Star Voice of India-Chottey Ustad, the news was confirmed by Shaan himself in an exclusive interview to tellychakkar.

When top notch Gajendrra Singh and an inside source opted for a not-yet-decided attitude, the telly chakkar team probed further and got the news from the horse's mouth himself.

Shaan clearing the air about his decision to quit Chottey Ustad, declared that, 17-year- old Abhaas Joshi, one of the participants of Amul Star Voice of India would be taking over from Shaan. Having been one of the last three finalists on Star Voice of India as a contestant, Abhaas is a familiar face on television. Being the youngest of all the participants Abhaas was a favourite with the judges.

In the interview to tellychakkar Shaan said, "The host has already been selected. Abhaas Joshi is going to take over. He is just 17 years old and looks like a kid himself. He would therefore gel very well with the participants. Also not to forget he is very talented. He always remained judges' favorite and was also very consistent".
