It's raining serials for Ali Merchant these days. After Amber Dhara now he'll be seen in up- coming Ek Thi Rajkumari to be aired on Zee Next. On Sony's primetime, he has replaced Harshad Chopra as Akshat.

"I can't reveal much about this show but I'll be essaying the role of a lover boy. The show has a great storyline and I'm looking forward for it," says Ali

Elaborating further on his character he says, "Ek thi… is a story of two couples and the problems that occur in a relationship. I play the role of Arjun Singhania. He is a rich and pampered business man. He is not practical in life and has no dream of achieving anything. Neha who essays the role of Priya is paired opposite me."

Are you enjoying your stint in AmberDhara? Do you think audiences will be able to relate to you as Akshat? "I've just started the shooting of the show and I'm enjoying it. I've worked hard and I think the masses will like me in the same way they used to like Harshad," he explains.

Beside these two serials Ali has bagged Zee's Bollywood Bonanza which will go on air on November 15. "It a one hour live show and I'll be anchoring it. I took this up as it less time consuming and I can portray my self as an anchor," he explains.
