Rupali finally signs on a new show

We caught up with her after a long time. Rupali Ganguli, who shot to fame after her negative act in Star's Sanjivani is all set for a comeback on the small screen. After much coaxing, the actress who had almost done a disappering act after Sony's Bigg Boss revealed that she has signed on a lead role for an untitled show on INX.

Rupali sounded upbeat about her new project. "I'm not in a position to talk about it as things are still being worked out . The only thing I can reveal is that talks are on with the producers and I'll soon sign the contract. It'll be a daily soap on one of the prominent channels. I'll be playing the lead and will start shooting for it early next month."

So where was Rupali after Big Boss? "I was busy doing theatre. Since, there wasn't anything substantial being offered to me on television so I thought of doing something creative," quips Rupali.

There were also rumours about the `cry baby' quoting a huge amount of money to producers ?

Defending herself, she says, "I don't know who has been spreading such baseless rumours. If the role is good, money is not at all an issue. I want either a good role or good money. If you don't get creative satisfaction, at least monetary satisfaction should be there."

Apparently she wants J.D Majethia to work on the second season of Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai. "I loved my role in it and I am desperately waiting for the season 2 of Sarabhai…I hope things fall in place."
