"I don't believe in any particular religion" Aanchal Dwivedi

There are times in all our lives, when we desire the need for divine intervention; times, when life refuses to acknowledge the seemingly obvious and decides to take refuge in a world that is far away from ours. A world that gives the body and mind the spiritual healing that it yearns for. We, at Telly Chakkar.com decided to delve deeper into the lives of our favourite stars and know a little about their lives beyond the obvious.

Aanchal Dwivedi, the vamp of Hindi television, in real life is totally opposite to her character in Saat Phere. If the reel Kaveri is cruel, the real Aanchal is very kind by nature. Here's the good looking actress in an exclusive chat with Rachana Trivedi about her belief in God and following rituals.

Define God
I cannot define God but I believe in his existence. I believe that there is one power that takes care of you and the universe. Though I'm from a Brahmin family, I don't believe in a particular religion. Since childhood, I was studying in a convent school and thus I also started believing in Jesus. Personally, I feel that a Mighty Power is always there with you and it's difficult to define His supremacy.

Following rituals
My father and grandma taught me some shlokas and mantras that I follow every day. During my childhood, the days use to start with performing pooja. I like the akhand paat of Ramayan that we used to do on our new year, that's Holi. We also had satyanarayan pooja every two months. It was so peaceful to perform all that. It was fun but today due to my hectic schedule it's difficult to do so. Sometimes I do arrange for havans at my place.

Do you fast?
Not really, I just fast once a year, that's on Mahashivratri. My busy shooting schedules don't allow me to fast. I feel very weak. My mother reminds me to keep fast of Lord Shiva so that I could get a good life partner.

When you are in trouble do you remember God?
Of course I do remember him. As I'm alone in Bombay I can rely on him in my bad times. Whenever I feel low I just pray and wish that everything turns out good.

What about occult sciences?
I read it just for the sake of it but don't believe in it. Whatever comes in paper never happened but sometimes I feel it might just take place, so I don't blindly believe. Though I feel number wise I'm lucky. My birthday falls on 16 November and I feel number 7 is lucky for me.

How do you keep yourself mentally active?
I keep myself happy and this makes me feel mentally fit and fresh. I feel if you are happy you can spread the same in your surrounding. Give love and get loved. I can't think negatively and this is another secret of my health and mental strength.
