After
matching steps with sizzling Urmila Matondkar
on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Jay Banushali,
aka Neev of Kayamath, is all set
to play a cameo in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi
Bahu Thi. These are truly good times
for the rookie actor.
Elaborating on his character he says, "I'm
portraying a confident and determined character
of Arth who is Sachi's (Anita Hassandani's)
brother. It's a very prominent and important
character and will definitely add a lot
of spice to the current track. It was Ekta's
idea to get me on this show. I agreed to
do this role as Kyunki is the No.1 show.
"
So what cameo role does he enact? Jay replies,
"Nakul (Naman Shaw) is in love with
my sister Sachi. However, Nakul suspects
her of cheating him when he spots her with
me. It is here that Arth comes into the
picture and clears the smoke."
Now that he's acting in two dailies, how
does he squeeze time for Jhalak?
"It's very difficult but I'm trying
my best. I shoot for Kayamath and Kyunki
in the morning and rehearse for Jhalak
at night," adds Bhanushali.
Why did you opt for Jhalak? He says,
"I wanted to experiment with something
innovative. I was never a good dancer, so,
this is the good opportunity for me to learn
salsa and Bollywood dance."
Jay has realised that it's not an easy
task to do multiple things all together.
"Once Jhalak and Kyunki
are over I'll try and stick to only one
show at a time," signs off Jay.
The pressure of working in dailies and
dancing on Jhalak has taken its toll on
Ronit Roy, who apparently collapsed while
performing. We pray that Jay doesn't suffer
the same fate.
