Deepa Parab, the contemporary bahu of Sony's
Thodi Khushi Thode Gham is very conscious
about her figure. Though, she doesn't really
believe in dieting but swears by her fitness
mantra.
Here, she shares with us the secret behind
her well toned body.
My Fitness mantra
I workout thrice a week for about half an
hour. I begin with a warm up session and
then proceed to other free hand exercises.
I don't believe in doing heavy weights,
as I believe gymming is to tone my body
and not to build muscles.
My daily dose of diet
I avoid eating oily food but that doesn't
mean that I'll not indulge in spicy food
once a week. I don't believe in dieting.
Ghar ka khana keeps me going.
My Dabba
It consists of fruit salad, two rotis, vegetable,
chicken curry and curd. I keep it light
during night time.
My Style mantra
I wear clothes that make me look good and
feel comfortable. I prefer wearing Jeans
and a t-shirt while not shooting. Off late,
I've also developed a liking for traditional
clothes.
Accessories I love to wear
I'm fond of wearing diamond and platinum
jewellery. I'm very feminine in my sense
of dressing up and like all girlie things.
Four things you'll always find in my
purse
A small make up box, cell phone, perfume
and a book.
My favourite books
I adore reading love stories and non-fiction
books. I do indulge myself in reading Hindi
and Marathi novels. My favourite authors
are Prabhakar Pendnekar, Phul Deshpande
and John Grey. In short, I'm a book worm.
"Music is my soul"
I like instrumental and Indian classical
music.
