A few days ago it was reported that Juhi Parmar was to be roped in as the eleventh contestant on the dance reality show Nach Baliye 3. In fact, the producers had even begun the hunt for a baliye (partner) for Juhi. But after facing stiff opposition from fellow contestants, the Punjabi kudi has decided to opt out of the show.

Prem Kamath, VP - Mktg & Comm, Star India, had this to say, "The other contestants weren't happy with the fact that Juhi was to pick a partner from the public. They felt it implied to bending the rules for one person"

"I have backed out of the show, for the simple reason that I do not want to make anyone unhappy or be unfair to anyone. I do not wish to have any controversies around me and my intention to enter the show was only because it was a challenge and I would be able to unearth a new talent from the public," said Juhi

She adds further, "I guess the whole concept was taken in the wrong spirit, as I was here only to promote a talent, have a great time and not to find a life partner! I guess the contestants did not grasp the entire concept too well and I won't deny that I am very hurt by some of the comments, few of which have come from my friends and colleagues"

One person who's not quite friendly with Juhi is the outspoken Rakhi Sawant. The item girl said "I didn't have any objections to Juhi's participation. It doesn't matter whether it's Hrithik Roshan or Juhi Parmar, I fear no one. Though, I didn't voice my objection, it wasn't fair to other contestants that Juhi's partner will be chosen from the public. This contest is meant for real life couples. The contest is called Nach Baliye and not dhoond baliye"

For once, the outspoken Rakhee has been diplomatically correct. As for Juhi, she may be barred from entering NB3 but she surely is free to look for a mate.
