A teacher is someone who can be your friend, guide and philosopher; someone you can look upto and also scold you if need be. He/she is the one from whom a student learns a great deal during the formative years.

September 5 is celebrated as Teacher's day in India. It is actually the birthday of our late President of India, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who also happened to be a teacher.

Tellychakkar.com made a few of our stars jog down the memory lane and remember their favourite teachers. Here goes

Mona Singh:
D-Day: The day is for our teachers who made us understand the difference between good and bad. I owe all my success in life to them.
Childhood memories: This day meant a lot to me during my school days when we all students would dress up like teachers. I used to wear a sari and imitate any one of my teachers. After the celebration, all our teachers used to take us out for lunch.
Favourite teacher: Meera maam! She supported me in all my decisions.
Plans for this year: I'm not in Mumbai but will try to call her up.
Any crushes: Never. I was a spoiled brat but never found any teacher so attractive.

Chetan Hansraj:

D-Day: The day no more holds the same charm. On this day, I sit and remember all my favourite teachers. This day has influenced my life to a great extent. All the teachers are very dear to me.
Childhood memories: Once I made a very big greeting card for one of my favourite teacher and she gave me a bunch of chocolates in return.
Any crushes: I always had a crush on my physics teacher Ms. Collean D'Monte as she was gorgeous.
Plans for this day: I'm still in touch with her and will plan out an outing with her.

Gurdeep kohli:
D-Day: The day reminds me of all the hardships put in by my teachers.
Childhood memories: Apart from all the fun and masti, we students used to pay our warm respects to all our gurus. Since, I was the teacher's pet all the time, they used to treat me to a lot of chocolates. I had fun while imitating my teachers and won "best teachers" award too for it once.
Favourite teacher: I love all of them and it will be partial on my part to name anyone.
Plans for this year: Nothing. I'm not in touch with anyone.
Any crushes on a teacher: I was a very obedient child and never thought of doing something like that.

Varun Badola:
D-Day: Only day devoted to teachers who made my life better from worst.
Favourite teacher: Mrs. A Singh, my English teacher. She was gorgeous, attractive and an extraordinary woman. I had spent a lot of time with her as she was a tuition teacher too. She made me score passing marks in English as I was quite poor in it.
Plans for this day: After shooting I'll visit her place.
Any Crushes: "I never repeat my words" smiles Varun
