| This
week Baa Bahu Aur Baby gets even more engrossing as big screen actress
Juhi Chawla makes her serial debut. The charming actress will definitely attract
audiences to the show and the channel can be assured of good TRPs for this episode.
Juhi Chawla speaks on her cameo in Baa Bahu Aur Baby.
You
are appearing in a television show for the first time in Baa Bahu Aur Baby.
How was your experience on the show? I liked the Thakkar family and I enjoyed
myself a lot. Although it was my first time, they made me feel very much at ease.
I was thrilled to see that the whole cast behaves like one big family. They are
all such good actors and it was easy working with them. I have never worked on
television before, and it is the first time I have come in a serial, but I will
remember and cherish this day for a very long time. Baa Bahu Aur Baby has
been my one and only experience in a TV serial and a very pleasant one.
Do the kids of Baa Bahu Aur Baby remind you of the ones
in Bhootnath? Not just the kids of the house, but the ambience,
the spirit of togetherness, the ease, no-attitude behaviour, chemistry between
the actors, on spot improvisation etc. every thing reminds me of Bhootnath.
The film also had a huge set of a house where 50 to 60% of the film was shot.
For almost two months, we have been going on the sets daily that by the end of
the schedule the entire unit was like one big family and going to the sets felt
like going from your home to another home. The same applies to the set here. Since
there is such a big house and such a big family you start thinking of it as a
part of you... Which is your favourite Baa Bahu Aur Baby character
and why? I have many favourites. One of course is Gattu because he is very
unique and his character is very distinct. Deven is a magnificent actor and does
a brilliant job as Gattu. I, infact, like most of the actors on this show and
it’s unfair for me to choose one over the other. I like the babus of the family,
Leelaben, Charubalaben etc. Each character is different and very well defined.
I especially like baa. She is a very strong-willed woman and a very powerful character.
She is the head of the family, holds such a large responsibility on her shoulders
and yet manages the house and the relationships between family members so beautifully.
Do you miss working in comedy films? I had my share of lead roles
and fun and I did everything I ever wanted to do. I don't much miss it but I am
always looking out quality roles, whether big or small….not necessarily comedy
or romantic.
What do you like about the show? I like
Baa Bahu Aur Baby since it’s a family show and things here are not over
dramatized. The incidents and nuances are so similar to our real lives and most
of the incidences we see here often happen in our own homes. What
do you do when you are not working? I have started to learn music so my
free time goes in doing riyaaz. Apart from that my children, family and
social events take up all my free time so that I am happily busy even when not
working.
