After a bad bull run of soaps, Sony will now offer two Balaji soaps to viewers. Ekta is all set to produce two new shows for the channel, namely Krazy Kiya Re and Kambakht Ishq. Both the channel and the production house are banking on these upcoming soaps to lift their fortunes.

Though Sanjay Upadhyay, Creative Head Fictions Sony, remained tightlipped about the shows but said, “Balaji is making a show for us to fill in our prime-time slot, but it will be too early to divulge any details as everything is in the initial stages.”

Vikas Gupta, Creative Head Balaji, confirms the news and says, “Balaji is making Krazy Kiya Re and Kambakht Ishq for Sony. We haven’t got the telecast date for Krazy Kiya Re from the channel. But it will be a daily which will air at 8:00 pm. There will be new faces along with Balaji’s loyalists but I can’t reveal anything about the cast as everything is under wraps.”

Talking about Balaji’s other show, Kambakht Ishq, Vikas says, “This will be one of the biggest shows on Sony from Balaji. It will be bigger in terms of infrastructure, techniques, looks and the budget. There has been a national hunt for faces for different characters of the show. It is going to be a youth-centric show and not the regular saas-bahu saga.”

When asked if the production house is trying to rope in Anita Hassanandani and Pulkit Samrat, Vikas says, “Anita was considered for the role but there is no development on that front as yet. As far as Pulkit is considered, he has been trying hard to return to Balaji, but there is no returning for him.”

When contacted, Anita said, “I am not aware of this show.”

But Pulkit remained unavailable.
