It seems Nupur Alankar’s social deeds have influenced many on the sets of Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan. All the actors from the show are helping one of the spot boys for his daughter’s marriage. They are contributing Rs.2000 each to help Hussain, the spot boy.

Earlier Nupur Alankar had helped a spot boy named Badshah with money, some years ago when his son met with an accident. Then she funded Rafeeq, from the arts department, who needed money for his daughter’s marriage.

Nupur says, “This is nothing new as it has already become a trend in Betiyaan. We are always ready to help those who are undergoing some financial crisis or tragedy. But this time I am not the one who started it, as I was not shooting those days. But yes, I am a part of this drive.”

Another actress Smriti Mohan (Durga of Betiyaan) who has also contributed for the cause, says, “I was told by Tanushree Kaushal who plays Maineka that they have all decided to help Hussian for his daughter’s marriage. I too decided to chip in. We have to collect Rs.30000, so all the 15 actors have decided to contribute Rs.2000.”

It seems this team has its heart in the right place.
