For those of you who came in late, Ekta Kapoor is hunting for a replacement for Prachi Desai to play Bani in Kasamh Se. The producer, reportedly, was contemplating on three actresses Nausheen Ali Sardar, Gurdeep Kohli and Pallavi Kulkarni.

Pallavi though has rejected the offer. She says, “I was offered to pay Bani. Initially I was tempted to play the role as the show is very popular. But there will be a time-leap that will be introduced in the show and I think I would look funny playing mother to a 20- year- old girl. I took advice and suggestions from my friends and family and then took this tough decision.”

When contacted Gurdeep said, “I can’t disclose anything as everything is still in the initial stages.”

“I wouldn’t mind being a part of generation leap. These leaps now have become an integral part of any show. It is just to extend the life of the show. No matter how many leaps one introduces but the lead always remains the same and in fact gets stronger than ever. I would love to play Bani for the sole reason that it is a very strong and popular character,” answers Gurdeep when asked about her comfort in playing an old character.

Nausheen however remained tightlipped and said, “I can’t say anything on this.”
