The new show to replace Ustadoon Ka
Ustaad is a B.R. Chopra presentation called Sujata. After naming it
Saanjh and then Dharampatni, the production house finally settled
for Sujata. It’s a woman oriented show which was initially offered to Mansi
Joshi Roy but now Indrani Haldar has been chosen to play the lead.
This show also marks the comeback of actress Sheeba. The star cast includes
Ravee
Gupta, Divya Jagdale and Aman Verma. Sujata

“Aman
Verma will be cast opposite Indrani in the show. He is roped in to play an elderly
role of a father of two children,” says a source. “Sujata (Indrani)
has had a love marriage with Viresh (Aman). She is also blessed with two children.
Now at the age of 40 she starts realising that her family has taken her for granted
and wants to find her own way to live life,” adds the source. Actress
Ravee elaborates, “It is a story that brings out the emotions of an urban married
woman and her relationship with her husband and children.” Isn’t
this show similar to the Tabu starrer, Astitva? It reads that way from
the loose story line that our source has leaked to us. “Well, not exactly. But
it does resemble the film when it comes to the long marriage relationship and
the drift between the couple,” Ravee adds Slated to be a daily
at 10 pm from April 14 lets see how close Sujata is to the sensitively
made film Astitva.
