Actresses fainting on the sets are a common phenomenon but now our actors too are falling to the ground. And the latest is Angad Hasija who plays the role of Alekh in Star Plus’ Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai.

Angad plays a schizophrenic guy from a rich family of Rajvansh which requires a lot of energy and passion. It was during the shooting of the newly wed couple’s first night where Angad had to get hyper and wild. And whilst at it Angad fainted. The actor says, “It happened some three days ago and I was not keeping well. I was down with fever and cold and my character requires lot of intensity, passion and wildness. Sara and I were shooting our first night scene. The whole bed was covered with rose petals and as I am a schizophrenic I mistake the rose petals to be a cobra and hence turned wild. As a result of this over- exertion and fever I fainted.”

“Everybody from the director to co-actors rushed to my assistance and they called for juice and energy drinks. I was made to rest for half an hour. After that I resumed the shooting. I didn’t want others to suffer because of me,” adds the actor.

The episode is expected to air today on 8th April, 2008.
