There
are times in all our lives, when we desire the need for divine intervention; times,
when life refuses to acknowledge the seemingly obvious and decides to take refuge
in a world that is far away from ours. A world that gives the body and mind the
spiritual healing that it yearns for. We, at Telly Chakkar.com decided to delve
deeper into the lives of our favourite stars and know a little about their lives
beyond the obvious. Define
God God is someone who protects me from danger. I can always feel Him around
me as someone who is always going to take care of me. I have all the faith in
him that he will protect me from everything. What is spirituality to
you? Spirituality is getting connected to your own spirit. At bedtime I
analyse all that I have done throughout the day. That is when everything appears
like naked truth in the form of good, bad and ugly to me. This is the time when
I get connected to my true self. What
special connection do you feel with God and your inner-self? I strongly
feel the connection with the Supreme power. He has gifted me with the power of
intuition through which I can foresee future happenings. I believe God always
warns me of any adverse situation beforehand. I remember once while sleeping I
dreamed of my husband getting an electric shock and hurting his finger. I got
up and found that it was just a dream and went off to sleep once again. When I
got up I found that my husband had the same finger taped. When I asked him the
reason he said that he got an electric shock while repairing the fuse. I was very
scared. How much do you believe in the magic and power of prayers? I
definitely believe in the magic of prayers and destiny. I know that somebody is
looking after me and I thank Him and I pray that He keeps looking after me
Who do you credit for your ability to overcome hurdles, if any? I
credit it to the way I have been brought up by my parents and my uncle (chacha).
I have had some fantastic well-wishing friends, great teachers who have been there
with me through thick and thin. Also I would say its my inner-strength that has
to do a lot with my ability to overcome hurdles. What kind of
books do you read? Especially to get connected to God and your spiritual side? I
love to read simple and easy to comprehend books like Conversations with God,
The Alchemist and Eleven Minutes. They are very inpiring. What
do you do on a daily basis to remain connected to God and your inner-self? I
speak to myself in peace and calmness, which I feel in turn means speaking to
God about everything that I do throughout the day. This gives me a complete analysis
and tallies my good and bad deeds. I also thank God, the universe and angels who
are around and looking after me all the time everyday. Astrology,
numerology and tarot reading? Have you taken help of such occult sciences? The
main problem is that I am not sure of my time of birth though I am sure of my
comic timing. But I am quite interested towards these sciences. Do
you fast? I am a great foodie and the mere idea of it makes me happy. Regardless
I fasted for a year as advised by a palmist but it was more of a liability. I
used to keep inquiring about the time as I had to eat only after sunset. After
a year I just couldn’t continue. But I regularly and whole-heartedly observe fasts
on Karvachauth every year. Do you follow rituals? I am
not into rituals but I would do all that makes my elders happy. I do Diwali
and Holi puja as it makes my mother-in-law happy. What is
your comfort zone? My work place is my comfort zone. Different scenes that
I get to do fill me with excitement. Despite being a confused and chaotic place
I simply love it. Home for me is meant for sleep. What keeps
you going? My excitement and belief that tomorrow is going to be a better
day keeps me going and also love from my friends and respect from my actors.
Any wish that you would want God to fulfill? There are many wishes
that I want my God to fulfill but they are too dear to disclose. I just want to
continue getting the good work and want my burning desire to do good work intact
in me. I want all the readers to pray for me.
