Luck doesn’t seem to be on the side of Rahul Mukherjee, a contestant in Star Voice Of India 2 from Maharashtra. This week the singer is ousted from the show as his performance failed to strike a chord with the judges.

A source informed, “Rahul Mukherjee gets eliminated this week in Star Voice Of India 2. It was a Sukhwinder Singh special episode where Rahul sang Lagan Lagi from the movie Tere Naam.”

In the initial episodes, the audience saw the judges being impressed with his performance. He even scored full marks for two weeks but the judges scores went sliding down in the last week.

Rahul says “I was tagged as the best singer of this show by the judges. I think the judges were having high expectations from me. So this time when they felt that I did not give my best, they criticised me. The judges have all the right to do so. My experience with VOI was amazing.”

The episode showing Rahul’s elimination will be aired this Friday (July 29).
