Mehul Kajaria is playing a negative role in Ratna Sinha’s Babul Ka Aangan Chootey Na for the first time. He became popular as Harsh Virani, the henpecked husband in Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhii Bahu Thi.

Mehul is very excited with the role that he is essaying in the serial. He says, “I am playing Vinay Joshi (protagonist’s brother) who is selfish and overambitious and lacks emotions. He wants to go to America to make money.” He adds, “Vinay can stoop down to any level to fulfill his dream and he hates to be associated with the middle-class. His dream is to become rich.”

Elaborating on his character he says, “The role has many shades to it and satisfies my hunger as an actor. I am the villain of the serial and the Joshi family will face financial problems because of me.”

Mehul also says he is not yet ready to play an old man onscreen. He adds, “I am waiting for good movie offers. I don’t care if I bag just a couple of scenes but they have to be substantial.”
