If rumors are to be believed,
the entire cast of Kumkum
is going to be reincarnated, as a result of which all the actors will be changed
and the show will have all new faces. According to our sources, only Hussain
Kuwajerwala would continue doing the show. Rumors
also suggest that Juhi
Parmar may no longer be a part of Kumkum. The actress is at
present on a three month break. According to our sources, replacing Kumkum
will be entirely at Juhi's discretion. It is reported that the production house
BAG Films Ltd would not replace Juhi if she decides to continue with the show.
But if the actress refuses, the production house will have to hunt for a new Kumkum. When
contacted Anurradha Prasad, Managing Director B.A.G Films and Media Ltd said,
"It will be a new track and the actors will be joining in as and when required."
Anurradha chose to take a diplomatic stance when asked about Juhi quitting the
show, "We must not talk about it right now. This is not the right time to
speak about it." Ritu Goel, creative director of Kumkum, says,
"The cast is being finalised. It will be a new track and we will be doing
innovative things in the serial. As and when we come up with new characters we
shall keep everyone in the loop." When we contacted her again later
for further details, Ritu said, "I really don't want to speak on this anymore.
It's no comments from my side." Juhi remained unavailable for the comment. What
remains to be seen is how well audiences accept a reincarnated Kumkum cast.
