Kanwaljit who was last seen on Filmy’s Jigar Ma Badi Aag Hai, has too many things stored in. For the first time the veteran actor will be seen in a Punjabi film which will go on floors soon. And on the small screen he is all set to do a new show with Siddharth Nagar.

“Yes, I’m doing a Punjabi film for which I’ll be soon flying to London for the shoot. I’m also planning to do a series with the writer (Mir Muneer) of my serial Saans,” he confirms.

Talking about the film he explains, “The movie has a message quite the same as Jodha Akbar. It’s a story of a couple from different castes falling in love (Punjabi and Muslim). I loved the concept and thus went ahead with it. Earlier Punjabi films only portrayed either drunkards or fighters. After Yash Raj and Gulzar sahib stepped in the Punjabi culture has been shown in true light. That’s been my only reason for accepting the film as it conveys a strong message.”

Can you tell us about the series that you’ll be doing? “It’s a very special story of father-daughter bonding. It has a major twist which I can’t reveal. I’m not aware of the channel and the launch date,” he avers

What about the Siddharth Nagar show? “Again it’s a different concept which essays the life of a showman who was once a famous name but now is down and out. It’s just has that whatever you do you’ll have to pay for it. A person who goes up in life has to come down as it is the rule of nature. I have no idea of which channel it will be aired,” he concludes.
