Until now reality shows were a perfect fit for entertainment channels. But Sahara Samay, a news channel has broken the rule. The news channel is coming up with a reality show which is an entertainment and information show.

A reliable source from the channel says, “This is not a reality show. It will be an infotainment show where the aam janta will participate. The show will help participants choose their life partners. We will also have celebrities but not as guests or participants. The celebrities will give their expert comments and opinions on marriage. They will offer tips on how to deal with pre and post-marriage issues.”

The name and the timing of the show are not decided as yet. The target audience of the show is housewives, elders and eligible bachelors.

But why the news channel and not its entertainment channel, Sahara One? Our source explains, “It’s all about the reach a news channel has. As informed earlier this is not a reality show but particularly entertainment based. It is also an information based show so the news channel has been decided upon.”

“The channel and the production house Classic Films have worked hard on it,”adds the source.

Nausheen Sardar Ali Khan (Kkusum) and Swapnil Joshi are hosting the show.

Nausheen says, “This reality show is way different from the others running on various channels. It is a funny and entertaining show. This is not a regular show that has celeb participants. It will have common people participating on the show.”

Oh yes, we now see the fit between the show and the news channel. Most news now are also funny and entertaining.
