Vivek Madan’s debut

Vivek Madan who rose to fame with the Close- up ad on television enters tellywood with his first show Radha Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengii. The actor essays the role of Aniruddh in the show.

The handsome lad had done more than 40 ad films and was also seen in films like You Bomsi and Me, Family, The Film and Kal Yesterday and Tomorrow.

Vivek has also hosted a travel show on voyages.

We wonder what made him come to television.

We got up close with Vivek to know about his debut and future career plans.

How long have you been in the ad world?
It’s been nine years and I have done more than 40 to 50 ad films. It has been a good experience and I am still enjoying it.

After movies why the small screen?
There were many offers but I chose to go slow as I’m not in the rat race. Ya, I’ve done around five commercial films. The medium does not matter much to me. Earlier on TV I could not find the role I was looking for and Bollywood projects came to me so I opted for them.

What made you accept Radha Ki Betiyaan…?
As I said I was looking out for some sensible role and this show has offered me that. In this serial I essay a role that suits my age. This is a character which I can relate to off- screen also. Radha Ki Betiyaan.. is a youthful show and will be loved by the audience. DJ is a good production house to work with.

Tell us something about your character.
I essay the role of Aniruddh in the show. This character is not yet established but for now he is a guy who hails from a musician’s family. Aniruddh is very mature, confident and enthusiastic but at the same time very down- to- earth. He is part of the Student Council of the college which Ragini and Ruchi attend. I am the first to help Ruchi when she faces trouble in getting admission into the college. I eventually becomes Ruchi's confidante and support system and help her get used to life and college in Mumbai.

How similar is Vivek to Aniruddh?
Vivek is an introvert where as Aniruddh is an extrovert. Vivek likes to be with only a few chosen friends where as Aniruddh is friendly to all. I don’t enjoy music as much as Aniruddh does. The only similarity between both of us is in terms of personality.

What’s next in your pipeline?
For now this is the only show on television that I’m doing. Besides that I have a good film also lined up. I can’t reveal anything about it as the deal is still in its initial stages. It’s again a big banner commercial film and I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Lets see what happens
