| Kavita
Kapoor who was last seen on Sony’s Ek Ladki Aanjani Si is back with the
channel. Kavita makes an entry in the on- going serial, Amber
Dhara. Her entry will bring a big twist in the tale. Besides that
Kavita is also seen in Sony SAB’s Yes Boss. “It’s
very exciting to be a part of Ambar Dhara. They had called me earlier also
but due to date problems I could not take up the show,” says Kavita. Elaborating
on her role she explains, “I’m playing the second wife of Dev (Sudesh Berry).
This is a major twist. In our college days Dev, Lata (Mona) and I were together
in college and since that time I used to love Dev. But he chooses Lata over me.
After having conjoined twins he left Lata and then came to me.” “My
character is called Simone. She is very affluent and sarcastic. She also wanted
Dev and got him finally. She is very proud about that achievement and keeps on
flaunting it. It’s a grey shade,” she adds. What attracted you to
take up this role? “I had watched the show since the beginning and I loved the
concept as its very challenging. The appeal of the show is diverse and I always
wanted to become a part of such a project which can bring out my skills well,”
she informs. Don’t you think that this role will typecast you as
a vamp? “I’m an actor and can do many characters at times. I have been in this
industry since 13 years and people should know by this time that an actor is multi-
talented. About being typecast it is the channels and the production houses that
should be careful. Since I get the same offers after playing a particular role
I have now become choosy,” avers the actress. Which is your dream
role? “I would love to essay a role based on a real person life. Like an autobiography
of somebody. I feel such kinds of characters are very challenging and different.”
So what’s next in the pipeline? “For now Yes
Boss and Ambar Dhara are the only two shows that I’m doing
on television. I definitely have something on the Bollywood front but I would
like to wait till the end of March to talk about it,” she concludes. Till
then lets enjoy her work on the small screen.
