The Lead
India campaign on Star One culminated in a nail biting finish and
R.K.Misra from Bangalore was declared the winner. The runner-up on the show is
Devang Nanavati who is a practicing lawyer from Ahmedabad. Former
president A.P.J.
Abdul Kalam handed over the prize to Misra. The winner got the cash
prize of Rs. 50 Lakhs for their 'dream project' and a scholarship from the J.F.
Kennedy Institute. According to our sources the format of the show was changed
for the day and the two finalists were informed about the same only this morning.
The format changed from 80% audience votes and 20% judges' votes to 60% audience
votes and 40% judges' votes. Judges chose Misra over Devang. The judges of the
show are Kiran Bedi, lyricist Javed Akhtar and Vikas Singh. The esteemed
guests included Amar Singh, Arun Jaitley, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Nitish Kumar,
Digvijay Singh and Vineet Jain. We wish R.K.Misra a great future in public
life.
