With the success,
rising TRP's and financial gains of reality
shows , channel
9X has decided to do a dance based reality show. It is reported that
9X's reality show is being produced by Cineyug and is directed by Jhalak
Dikhla Ja fame Arun Shesh Kumar.
The show claims to be different from other reality shows. Inside sources
reveal, "The show's name is Yeh Hai Jalwa and it is produced by Cineyug's
director Mohamed Morani and is directed by Arun Shesh Kumar who also directed
Jhalak Dikhla Ja and is currently directing Champion
Chaalbaaz no.1 . It is a dance
based reality show where there would be nine teams and even the common people
will participate." Sources add, "Yeh Hai Jalwa will also
have television actors who would be heading one team each. Each team will have
six participants, one celebrity and five common people. The format is very different
from other reality shows where you mostly see celebrities participating but in
this reality show even the common people will be participating. For example if
a team is headed by Shweta
Tiwari then all other five participants from her team will be housewives
and if we have Hussain
Kuwajerwala then he would be heading a team of five people with blue
collared jobs." It is heard that the show will be judged solely on
the basis of viewers' votes that would come via SMS. Sources reveal, "Each
episode will have a celebrity guest commenting on the show. The comments will
be restricted to the concept of the show only and it would bear no outcome or
will not influence the votes from the viewers." The show is expected
to run for a span of 13 weeks and it will be a complete audience voting which
will decide the winner. Sources say, "It would be the aam janta (common public)
participating and deciding on the winners. The five participants will be coached
by the celebrity participant and the celebrities would be good dancers as well.
Auditioning for participants is in progress." And as one more channel
jumps on to the reality bandwagon lets see if the cash registers keep ringing
this time.
