Ekta Kapoor is all geared up to step into the world of non-fiction. After creating a history of sorts on television with her saas-bahu sagas, Ekta is now eyeing greener pastures. With the success of reality shows on different channels it was only time that Balaji tried a hand at the same.

Indrani Mukherjea, founder and C.E.O of INX says, "9X is an extension of Balaji and we have a wonderful team spirit and understanding. So we got together to enter into world of non-fiction and mega events. Balaji has achieved surmountable success with their fictions so I am sure that even the non-fiction that Balaji will produce will turn out to be a mega success."

Though Indrani did not reveal much about the non-fiction show she said, "Ekta is doing the biggest show for us. It is going to be a one hour weekend show. We are yet to decide on the number of days it would be aired. But we are sure that it would be a gift to the viewers, something that the country has never seen."

Talking about the upcoming Balaji awards Indrani seemed to be excited that they will be telecast on 9X. She said, "There has been no award function of this scale and magnitude. Balaji is going to create history with having Shahrukh Khan to perform at their award function."

What comes as a surprise is that the Balaji award function will have the whole television industry performing, participating and present at the event. Ekta says, "We will have actors from all the production houses and channels performing and getting nominated at our award function. To ensure fair judging we have a panel of judges who are immensely talented actors and have carved a niche for themselves like Neena Gupta, Farida Jalal, Aroona Irani. In addition to this Balaji has not nominated their actors but it is solely the channel's decision to decide on the nomination."
