Jay Bhanushali started his television career with Balaji's Kayamath . He was the lead with Panchi Bora , but later there was a sudden shift in the serial and Jay was seen playing the second fiddle in the serial.

Jay also participated in Sony's dance based reality show Jhalak Dikhla Ja-2 and was one of the three finalists.

But now Jay has decided to try his luck outside the Balaji camp. Jay is doing a couple of shows with other production houses. Jay says, "I am doing a couple of shows outside Balaji and Star Plus. I can't reveal anything other than this at this moment."

Of his role in Kayamath, Jay says, "I am happy with my role in Kayamath and am very thankful to Balaji for giving me such a golden chance."

Jay will be performing at Balaji's Global T.V. Honours Award function.
