Aanchal Diwedi aka Kaveri of Saath Phere is doing a cameo for J.D’s Chalti Ka Naam Gadi on Zee TV. Once again she will be seen in a negative avatar but with a touch of comedy.

“I essay the role of Kamini who is the new neighbour of the Kapoor family. It’s a very small role and I will be seen only briefly,” says Aanchal

Elaborating on her character she explains, “She is a girl with attitude and hates everybody who cannot understand the western world. This Punjabi family comes to the colony and she hates their lifestyle. My character is some what on the lines of Maya Sarabhai of Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai.”

What was the reason for taking up this show? “I had been doing Saath Phere since the last two and a half years and now I wanted some change. Definitely Kaveri is and will be my first love as I enjoy portraying that role. This one is just to break the monotony of my image,” she chirps.

What’s next in the pipeline? “Well for now there is nothing. I keep getting similar offers which I don’t want to do. I’ll only take up a new show if it excites me and adds a different taste. I’m happy doing a daily and playing a cameo,” she concludes.
