Fighting fit - Gaurav Gera


What’s your fitness mantra?
There is no particular mantra that I follow.

Do you go to the gym daily?
I don’t go to the gym at all as my shooting schedules do not permit me. I’m lazy when it comes to hitting the gym. I just keep a check on my diet.

What is your exercise regime?
I don’t want to pump up my body thus I like to walk. It is a good form of exercise that keeps me fit. Even when I’m shooting and I get a good break I walk. I don’t use elevators and prefer to walk up the stairs.

Are you foodie?
I’m not a foodie but I like to cook.

What is your fav food?
I am more into juices than food. It’s a best way to refresh your self.

Are you a vegetarian or a non- vegetarian?
I’m an Eggetarian.

Which is your favourite dish?
Rajma chawal. But as it is too heavy I avoid it. And rasam and sambar are my fav. drinks

Which is your favourite Restaurant?
I love to eat South Indian food. Woodland and Riceboat are my favourite eating spots.

What do you like to see in your dabba every day?
Salad is a must with dal and rice. I also prefer raita than simple dahi.

Do you like to cook?
I love to cook, especially kadi chawal.

Can you share a recipe of your choice?
I make this unusual rice paratha, the recipe of which I will share with my readers. Boil rice. Add salt and green chillies to it. Roll out the paratha and stuff the chawal mixture in it. Have that with aachar or dahi and add dollops of butter.

What is your fitness advice?
Avoid fried food and don’t skip lunch. To keep yourself fit drink lots of water
