Model turned host Shonal Rawat has replaced Mona Singh on Chaalbaaz No.1. Mona who is a natural has shown her caliber on many shows. A host never looked sounded better. Now with Shonal filling in for her the comparisons will be many. Shonal a ramp model had previously hosted Bournvita Quiz Contest on Zee TV. Talking about the new assignment, Shonal says, “I’m very happy and excited to be on the show. It’s very different from my earlier and I hope audience gives out a positive sign when they see me on the show.”

How was your experience while shooting for Chaalbaaz? “It was great. There is no script and you have to be spontaneous so that’s what was challenging for me. Besides that there is Cyrus and Sajid and that was what made me nervous. But by the end of the shoot everything was fine,” she explains.

“The difficult part of the shooting was that I had less time to understand the format. Even previously I have not seen the show so I had no idea at all of how to go about it. I felt so relaxed after the shoot that now I’m confident about the coming episodes,” she adds.

Shonal was selected after an audition. “I don’t mind stepping into Mona’s shoes. Basically, it’s the decision of the channel and they’ll be the right people to talk about why they chose me,” she says.

It’s a tough act to follow for Shonal, let’s see how she faces the challenge.
