What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion is an extension of oneself, one’s exterior persona. Your sense of style reflects the real you. It is a combination of exterior and interior zones. But I feel that one must feel comfortable in whatever you wear.

Who chooses clothes for you?
I do it myself. Even my brother picks up clothes for me. I think he is the right person to do so.

Are you fond of accessories?
Not really. I just carry a huge bag in which I carry all the important things and a small wallet.

Is there any particular brand that you prefer?
I am not brand-conscious at all. I only buy branded jeans and for that I prefer Lee as it fits me well.

Which is your preferred shopping destination?
It has to be Bangkok. I went there two years ago and had a great time shopping and chilling out.

What is your comfort wear?
I go the casual way. I love to wear jeans and t-shirts. But my style statement is a stole. I always carry a stole or a shawl wherever I go. That’s my signature style.

Who is your favourite designer?
My favourite designer is my brother Surendra Nath Tikekar. It is not because he is my brother but I genuinely feel that he is very talented.

The most expensive outfit you have ever bought?
I don’t have any expensive outfit. I just have a Kanjivaram saree gifted to me by my mother, other than that I bought this skirt from Ritu Kumar which was for seven thousand rupees.

Any particular colour you like to see in your wardrobe?
I really love the colour yellow and red is my childhood favourite.

A must-have in your purse?
Chewing gum in my wallet.

Which is your favourite make-up brand?
Shiseido.

A fashion tip?
Be comfortable in whatever you wear. Simplicity is elegance.

A make-up tip?
Less is more
