Thought
it's meant to be a fun-filled game show,
Filmy's Bollywood Ka Boss witnessed
some ugly moments. One of the contestants
and his accomplice was allegedly ill-treated
by the director Kapil Batra and his assistants.
In fact due to this the contestant wanted
to opt out though he had by then even earned
a good amount.
The
contestant’s friend who was present in the
audience, not willing to be named, recalls
the incident. "My friend was performing
exceedingly well. I reckon he scored an
average of about 40 questions in 25 seconds
which also earned him Rs 1.70 lakhs and
a place in the semi-final. Trouble brew
when he was suspected of foul play."
He adds, "While performing, he was
looking in our direction acknowledging our
cheers. Perhaps, this gave an impression
that he was referring for help. One of the
crew members immediately blasted me for
this. After the performance, the contestant
was cornered by the director who told him
that he had used unfair means. Claiming
innocence, my friend stated that it was
impossible for anyone to offer help especially
when you get only a few seconds to answer.
My friend was then issued a warning by a
lady accompanying the director."
When contacted director Kapil Batra said,
"I don't know what you are talking
about. I'm not the right person you should
be talking too."
Senior executive producer Anurag Bakshi
had this to say, “This has come as news
to me. This might be true but it’s a one-off
thing. Now that you’ve told me, I will definitely
look into this matter.”
