Sudha
Chandran who is currently seen in Balaji’s
Kuchh
Is Tara has bagged a new
show on Zee. She has entered as Moushmi
in Jai Mehta’s Ardhangini recently.
The dancer turned actress is content with
her two dailies and one show on Jaya TV.
“I
always wanted to do a show on Zee and Jai
Mehta offered me a good role in his show.
I can’t resist good roles and thus I went
ahead with Ardhangini,”
says Sudha. She has earlier worked with
Jai Mehta in Solhah
Sringaarr on Sahara One.
Elaborating on her character on Ardhangini
she says, “I play the role of Moushmi in
the show who is the real mother of Priyam
(Ajay Krish). She was sent to a mental asylum
and now she enters at the time of her son’s
marriage. There is a big twist followed
by my entry which will be revealed in the
coming episode. I can only tell you that
Moushmi has a past and that’s the strong
point in the story.”
How do you manage both the shows? “It’s
definitely hectic. I have to shoot for both
the shows on the same day. I’m working round
the clock. It worries me when I hear about
stars fainting on the sets. I believe that
the older generation is stronger than the
younger generation and that helps me a bit,”
she explains.
What’s next in the pipeline? “The line
is full as I have two Hindi entertainment
shows and one Tamil show on Jaya TV. There
is no time to do anything. I just completed
one Tamil movie,” she concludes.
Talking about saas-bahu shows Sudha
says, “They are very regressive. It’s difficult
for the viewers to relate with them.”
But Sudha
weren’t you an integral part of saas
bahu sagas?
