Sanjeeda
Sheikh started her television career with Star One’s Kya
Hoga Nimmo Kai, which made her an instant hit with the audience.
Sanjeeda is currently doing a negative role as Ayesha in Balaji’s Kayamath.
Sanjeeda was recently on a high after she won the Nach
Baliye-3 title where she competed with her beau Aamir Ali. With
so much good happening to her it is obvious that Sanjeeda is one happy lady. It
was therefore the best time to cosy up to her. Your
emotions on winning the Nach
Baliye-3 title? Oh! I feel like a deserving winner. So
is she open to more reality shows? As of now I am very busy with my stage
shows after Nach
Baliye-3. Also I am busy doing Kayamath, so at present I
don’t think it’s possible. After having done the best I can’t settle for anything
less. I don’t think there is any other dance based reality show that can compete
with Nach
Baliye . All the bahus in K serials are going the same
route. Comment See Ekta knows how to play with the twists and turns of
the character and make each one look distinct. She is very intelligent in doing
that. However I do feel that all the serials and their characters tend to go in
the same pipeline. If I were a producer I would have tried something different. What
else is exciting on the work front? I am looking forward to my movie Rohit
Roy’s Pankh. I am playing the innocent Kusum whose mother keeps pushing
her to give auditions for movies. It is not a commercial movie but a dark and
art kind of movie. Always seen in very trendy attire, Sanjeeda
has been lauded for her dress sense. So how important is it to be
fashionable? I am very fashion conscious. Being an actor you have to maintain
your looks as the viewers relate to you and want to dress up like you. I have
a fetish for gowns. Whenever I go out in the evenings I prefer wearing gowns.
As far as comfort goes, I team up tops with either jeans or skirts. What
about the sarees that she dons so gracefully in Kayamath? I
avoid sarees in real life. I am not comfortable with sarees. But I am lucky that
while playing Ayesha, I get to wear those strappy blouses which look sexy. Gowns
or sarees…it makes no diff. Sanjeeda makes a pretty pic either ways.
