Recently while shooting a marriage sequence in Babul Ka Aangan on Sony, the cast and crew pressed the panic button. Senior actor Vijay Kashyap who plays Aastha’s father-in-law was unavailable to shoot for a day as he had some very urgent work on hand. This was when the creative head of the show Rahat Ali Khan stepped in and decided to act as a replacement for Kashyap.

But in order that he fill in as a duplicate for the senior actor who is known for his bald pate Rahat had to go completely bald. “We were not aware that Vijayji was not coming to shoot. The scheduler did not inform us and this was alarming for all of us,” says the creative head.

“We also arranged for a duplicate but things did not work out and thus I decided to shave off my head. After this I was looking perfectly like Vijayji with the similar body structure too,” he laughs.

We called up the producer to know her reaction. “It was very cute of Rahat to take such a big step. I’m really happy and proud of him,” says Ratna Sinha.

“Vijayji had informed the scheduler. But somehow the situation got under control and we completed the wedding sequence,” concludes Rahat.

Rahat has definitely saved the show and given rahat to everybody… Great going!
