Fashion to me is primarily about comfort. It is about wearing what suits you rather than following trends.

Who chooses your clothes?

I choose my clothes. I do take opinions from friends but basically it is me who chooses them.

Do you like to accessorise yourself?

I do not like loading myself with accessories. I have to wear a watch necessarilybut other accessories depend on the occasion.

Is there any particular brand that you prefer?

As far as clothes are concerned, I don’t go by brands. Fit matters to me more than the label. Of course, when it comes to make- up or a watch, I have a brand preference.

What is your favourite shopping destination?

I haven’t much travelled abroad. I generally shop from places like Bandra and Inorbit Mall in Mumbai. As I live in Malad, Inorbit mall is my closest shopping destination. Malls are very convenient as you get everything under one roof.

Which are the clothes that make you feel comfortable?

For day-to-day wear I prefer wearing denims and t-shirts. I love to dress in a sari for functions. I play around with my blouses. The blouses that I am wearing in Ek Se Badhkar Ek are making waves with the audience.

Who is your favourite designer?

I don’t have any favourite designer. I have designer clothes but I picked them because I liked them; It was not because that particular designer was my favourite.

Most expensive outfit you ever bought?

It is a sari that I bought in Kolkata a and a half year ago. I bought it for Rs. 25,000 to wear for a function organised by the beauty pageant that I won in Kolkata.

Any particular colour that you like to see in your wardrobe?

Black, as it makes me look sensuous. Most of the clothes that I wear are black, white or blue in colour.

A must- have in your purse?

Perfumes and chewing gums.

What are the make-up products that you prefer?

I prefer Mac. I wear make-up only for parties and that too just a kohl pencil and a lipstick. I use Mac products even for my shoots. Earlier I used to let the make-up men use their make-up products but now I make sure it is mine. The make-up products that they use are good but they use the same products on every one. My skin being sensitive, responds badly to such make-up.

A fashion tip

Don’t wear a mini skirt just because it is trendy, you can look equally hot in a sari. If you are comfortable in what you are wearing, you will inevitably carry it well.

A make- up tip

Keep it minimal as no one likes to see a mannequin-like girl. Opt for a fresh and natural look.
