| At
times they are a professional hazard. Once a star gains popularity he is sure
to have his share of loyal fans. But at times these fans can be invasive, aggressive
and insensitive. Most stars at some point in their career encounter fans who leave
a bad taste in the mouth. Undoubtedly stars are happy when they hear what their
fans do for them. It is only when some fans cross the line that a star gets upset.
We spoke to some of our popular stars to know some of their fan
experiences. Sulagna
Panigrahi: - When my show, Amber Dhara was on air both Kashmira and
I visited a mall in Phoenix Mill for a function. As we were under a contract were
not allowed to be seen alone in public. We wanted to go to the washroom and as
soon as we came out we saw bunch of women waiting for us. They rushed to us and
tried to lift our dress to see if we were really joined at the hip. Somehow we
managed to control them and soon we were signing autographs and clicking pictures
with them.
Prashant
Chawla: - Once I was in a mall with my girlfriend and there was a group
of NRIs shopping there. One of the women came to me and made me a marriage proposal
for her daughter. It was little awkward as I was with my girlfriend but she took
it sportingly. I introduced her to the lady and my girlfriend informed her that
we were dating. The lady just turned and left. I can never forget that incident.
Mihika
Verma: - I was at the sweet shop, Tiwari Brothers and there were some ten
ladies standing beside me and shopping. Suddenly one of them screamed from one
end and asked if Virrudh was going to have a second season. I just ignored
her for two three times but she went on and on. Then I came out of the shop and
told me that I was rude. Then suddenly another lady came up with a box of sweets
and forced me to take it home. I told her that I would take just one piece but
she did not listen and followed me. I somehow made her understood and took a piece.
After that she asked me if I would like to marry her nephew as they were looking
for a bride who was just like me in Virrudh. I thanked her and ran home.
Siddharth
Shukla: - There was a girl who used to call me almost every day and if I did
not respond she used to sms me saying I very rude. Initially I had to reply to
her calls as she was my fan but then I stopped responding. The best part of that
whole drama was that she had dropped pictures of mine which even I did not have.
It was of my initial days in the industry and that was really very sweet of her
to give them to me.
Krishna
(Pinakin):- I remember a person on a bike saw me and called out to me. Then
he came to me and asked me how I was and started talking to me as if he knew me
since long. At the end of our conversation he blessed me for the good work and
love and respect that I have for my family in the show. It was a pleasant surprise
as the show had just started and within a few days I had gained so much popularity.
