After
Pulkit
Samrat quit Kyunkii
Saas Bhi kabhi Bahu Thi , Balaji was left in a lurch to find out
the suitable replacement. Being one of her most loved characters, soap-queen was
very particular about the face that was to replace Pulkit to play Lakshya. Balaji
has finally found the replacement in Yash Pandit. Yash
Pandit, a Bollywood actor has acted in flicks like Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai,
Rok Sako Toh Rok Lo with Sunny Deol. His film Faltoo where in he
played the lead has won National Award for the Cultural Awareness category. He
was critically acclaimed for his performance in the movie.
The handsome
actor is excited with the launch pad he has got. Yash says, “Getting an offer
from Balaji is like a dream come true for any actor as it is the biggest production
house in television industry. Kyunkii.. is the top rated show and I could
not have got a better opportunity to debut on television.” When asked if
replacement comes as a challenge to him, Yash replies, “I am here for acting and
giving my best to the character that I have to essay. I don’t want to know who
I have replaced as I am starting afresh.” Yash feels that acting in a daily
is an experience totally different from movies. He says, “Everyday is a learning
experience on television. Acting in a daily is more impromptu as its track keeps
changing as per the viewers’ preference. Whereas, in movies one knows what he
has to do in a three hour movie. TV is a new challenge everyday.” The actor
has been flooded with TV offers since the past one year but he kept refusing till
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi happened. “I was bound by Arindham Chaudhary’s
Planman Motion Pictures, who has produced Rok Sako Toh Rok Lo and Faltoo,
so I could never really take up the offers. But it was worth a wait as I got the
best possible show to debut with. Also with the growth of TV industry one can’t
forgo the temptation that it offers. It gives you nation-wide coverage and good
money.” To those who came in late, Lakshya was shown going away to the United
States in order to avoid facing KT (Mouni Roy) for whom he nurtured deep affection.
His love for KT was also the reason for growing troubles between KT and her husband
Eklavya (Akashdeep Sehgal). After Lakshya left, KT was the only person who kept
in touch with him and knew his whereabouts. Since Lakshya love for KT remains
unchanged, there is a love tussle between Eklavya, KT and Lakshya. Yash’s
entry is airing today, 11 June at 10:30 pm in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
on Star Plus.
