I am… a very shy person though it doesn’t come across. Life…
as of now is all happy. Love
is… my family, friends and above all Hussain. Lust
is… something that doesn’t exist in my dictionary as
I am very old-fashioned. Marriage...
is a must and unbelievable experience. Hugs
or kisses... I prefer tight hugs with a few kisses on
the forehead. Your
first crush... was when I was in the 8th standard on
my cousin’s friend. But then he used to like my cousin and when he got interested
in me I had lost interest. Your
first date... was with Hussain. We went out for a movie
and lunch. Your dream date...
will be with anyone I love. I would love to watch a romantic comedy with my date
at home. What you did on your last
birthday... Hussain planned a last minute party at Main
Land China. We invited some 20-30 friends and danced the night away. How
many places have you lived in... I am born and brought
up in Mumbai. Your long lasting
friend… There are so many like Aarti, Sai Shakti Anand,
Gauri Tonk, Shweta Kawatra. Do
you make friends easily... Yes, I do make friends easily
but I am still a very shy person. What
kind of music do you like… I like soft romantic numbers
with meaningful lyrics. I love listening to Kishore Kumar. I am not the one who
would like to hear something like ‘Who let the dogs out.’ One
thing you want to change about yourself... My temper.
Though I have changed a lot since my college till now and Hussain has been very
instrumental in doing so. Favourite
TV show… I love to watch comedies like Sarabhai V/S
Sarabhai. I also loved to watch Hussain in Krishna-Arjun, where he essayed the
role of a detective.
Favourite
actor in Bollywood… Hrithik Roshan. Favourite
cartoon character... Tom and Jerry. I also like Tintin
only for the reason that Tintin is my pet name. Favourite
actor in Tellywood… undoubtedly Hussain Kuwajerwala.
How do you rate yourself as a
host... three out of 10. I think that is good enough
for a first timer. Last time you
boarded a local train... Some ten years back. I used
to go to my college from Mahim to Jai Hind. Last
time you were stalked.... I used to get stalked during
my college days so eventually I stopped walking alone. Now I tend to take my driver
along even if I have to go just five minutes away. I have this phobia of walking
alone
Last movie you watched…
Jab We Met. Last
time you went for shopping... Yesterday for Hussain. Last
time you cried off the screen... I cry at the drop of
a hat. I am a very emotional person. I cry when I am happy and strange as it may
sound even when yelling at someone. Last
time you cooked... I can’t remember. Philosophy
of life... smile and make others smile. Advice
to youngsters… Now-a-days youngsters are blindly aping
western culture. When I visit pubs I get appalled to see youngsters smoking and
drinking. I don’t think it’s our culture. Where Western is adopting our culture
(yoga and turning vegetarian) we are just going the other way round. We need not
follow Western culture, let them follow ours.
