It’s all about loving your family, said a big screen biggie. Trends after trends catch up on the small screen and the current one that producers are cashing in is the emotional family theme. Be it in soaps where you see family dramas or on reality shows-it is family time. With Rock and Roll Family on Zee ready for take- off tonight its time for another family reality show on Sony. Auditions for Warr Parivar, a musical entertainment are soon to be flagged off in the major cities of India. The promos are on air and it is heard that families are dusting the cobwebs off their ‘talented’ throats and gearing up to croon their way to the bank.

“Warr Parivar had been planned since long but the channel wanted to keep it under wraps till the auditions began. This will be a musical reality show where three generations of a family will sing together on one stage,” says a person from the channel.

Isn’t it on similar lines as that of Rock N Roll Family? “I can’t comment on that but yes the only dissimilarity is that this show is only about singing. For example if there is a marriage theme then the family will have to sing such songs and dress accordingly as well,” she adds.

When will it go on air? “Well, as soon as Sitareen Zameen Par concludes the channel is planning to launch this show. The time slot as of now will be 10 pm but I have no clue of whether it will be weekly or a daily. As far as I have heard it may be slated between Monday to Friday, but nothing is finalised as yet,” she avers.

Now that Sony has declared Warr let’s wait and watch of who wins this one!
