The good, bad and ugly of television

Every profession has its rights and wrongs. Ups and downs. And for most the grass is always greener on the other side. We grilled some of our TV stars to know what they thought was good and bad about their chosen profession.

Amit Verma

The best thing about this industry is that I’m able to play the many shades of human emotions which is not possible in real life. Here, I have plenty of opportunities to experiment with my self and at the same time learn something.

The worst thing is the long working hours where you don’t get time to balance your life. It would have been great for us if we were given more time for ourselves.

Shweta Keswani

That now there are lots of channel coming up so there is lots of work for us as well those who aspire to become actors.

The worst is the unending hours of shooting. It makes one feel so tired and in the end you are left with very little time for personal life.

Jay Bhanushali

The best thing about television is that there is so much of money that you can earn.

The worst thing I feel for every actor is the long and hectic working hours.

Divyanka Tripathi

I feel that it is the best medium to get connected with the people. There are so many people who can relate with you. Television is the best possible way to bond with audiences.

The worst thing is that you don’t have time for your personal life. Time runs like the second’s arm of a clock and the years just fly.

Sharad Kelkar

I fell that television brings happiness into people’s lives by entertaining them.

I think its electricity. In remote areas due to less supply of electricity people are not able to watch TV. I think television sets should run on battery. Besides that there is nothing bad.

Kirti Gaikwad

I think it’s the name, fame and money and besides that television is one place that connects us with audiences.

I feel that actors have an unstable career. Another thing would be that the show has to go on no matter what. An actor has to keep that aside and shoot in the worst of circumstances.
