I have had psychic and near to death experiences
Kiran Kumar

There are times in all our lives, when we desire the need for divine intervention; times, when life refuses to acknowledge the seemingly obvious and decides to take refuge in a world that is far away from ours. A world that gives the body and mind the spiritual healing that it yearns for. We, at Telly Chakkar.com decided to delve deeper into the lives of our favourite stars and know a little about their lives beyond the obvious.

Define God…
God is like that breeze of air which we can feel but cannot see. I have accepted His presence and derived a lot of strength just by knowing that He is there. He is the epitome of love. God is present in every living and non-living thing. He has no favourites and loves every being equally. As far as the task of defining God is concerned I don’t think any human can fulfill it.

What is spirituality to you?
For me, spirituality is not hurting anybody consciously. I am not a very religious person who believes in going to the temple everyday or following a particular religious pattern. I totally believe in the spirit of God and I am a spiritual person.

What special bond/connection do you feel with God and your inner-self?
I share a great connection with The Almighty. I have had psychic experiences and near to death experiences. I have also had astral travel experiences. I believe that every one has a Spirit who serves as a guiding light and keeps warning you of the danger ahead. One has to listen to his/her intuition. I have totally surrendered myself to Shirdi Sai Baba who I acknowledge as my Guru. I have his idol in my home. Whenever I need his help or suggestions I go to have one to one conversations with Him. Trust me I get all my questions answered by Him.

How much do you believe in the magic and power of prayers?
I don’t believe in the term magic. I feel that God always helps us and at times we term His help as magic. For me my prayer is not Gayatri Mantra or Mata Ki Bhent. In fact I go to my God and tell him “Hi! This is what I am. I have surrendered myself to you. I love you and now you have to take care of me”. God is like a mother who feeds her child when he or she cries for milk. God has a whole big world to look after so we have to ask Him to get our wishes fulfilled.

Who do you credit for your ability to overcome hurdles, if any?
I credit my inner-strength. My body can be wounded or hurt but my inner-strength doesn’t let me give up. I have been diagnosed by Malaria but still I am shooting. I don’t want others to suffer because of me.

What kind of books do you read? Especially to get connected to God and your spiritual side?
I try to look for books that can quench my thirst and curiosity to know things. I am very inquisitive about life after death. I have read the biographies of great people like Mother Teresa. There is a very strong aura of these people that is clearly visible with the naked eye. One can easily make out their greatness by merely looking at them.

What do you do on a daily basis to remain connected to God and your inner-self?
I am always connected to Him. The moment I think about Him I get connected to Him. He is not like MTNL where lines would go busy and disconnect. There is no specific time to think of Him. I think of Him while eating, drinking and working.

In an industry that is so materialistic, how do you manage to retain your inner-self?
It is never a conscious effort from my side to retain my inner-self. There is no method or system that one can follow. If I will not work I would not be able to look after my family. That is my duty which is something that God Himself wants me to fulfill.

Astrology, numerology and tarot reading? Have you taken help of such occult sciences?
I don’t believe in it and I don’t condemn it either. I just believe that if I have an access to the President then why I should go to some local MLA or a Chief Minister. I have my God with me guiding throughout then what is the need to take help from someone below Him.

Do you fast?
I fast only during Ganesh Chaturthi for seven days when we bring Lord Ganesha’s idol at our place. We have been following the ritual from last 50 years. I just have the Prasad that is being offered to the God.

Do you following any rituals?
It is just the Ganesh Chaturthi rituals that I follow regularly without fail.

What is your comfort zone?
It is now when I am speaking to you about God and spirituality.

What keeps you going?
God’s blessings and love keeps me going. I know in the back of my mind that He is with me and I just need to reach out for Him.

Any wish that you would want God to fulfill?
He has done it all the time. I just think of something and He fulfills it.
