BAG Films went on an intensive hunt for a face who could replace Juhi Parmar in Kumkum after the actress announced her desire to quit the show. Sources from the production house tell us that BAG offered the role of Kumkum to the likes of Samiksha Jug from Zaara.

Sources say, “The production house offered many actresses including Samiksha to play the lead of the show but the actresses turned down the offer. The actresses aren’t sure of the fate of the show that has been running for more than five years now.

When contacted Samiksha confirmed the news and said, “The production house did approach me to play Kumkum but I didn’t take it up due to date issues. I am concentrating on the bigger picture right now but it doesn’t mean that I will not do television. I am doing a few films down South.”

Anuradha Prasad, MD, BAG films has confirmed that Juhi is back on the show.

We wonder how many carrots were dangled before Juhi to continue with the show.
